Students, please arrive fifteen minutes before your scheduled class.

The Songahm Spirit of Taekwondo

I will practice in the spirit of Taekwondo
with courtesy for fellow students
loyalty for my instructor
and respect for my juniors and seniors.

I shall live with perseverance in the spirit of Taekwondo
having honor with others
integrity within myself
and self-control in my actions.

Belts

Songahm One Belt Pure without knowledge of Songahm Taekwondo.
Songahm Two The sun is beginning to rise.
Songahm Three The seed is beginning to see the sunlight.
Songahm Four The sapling is hidden amongst the taller pines and must now fight its way upwards.
Songahm Five The pine tree is beginning to develop and grow in strength.
In Wha One Coming to the mountain. The tree is mid-growth and now the path becomes steep creating a mountain that must be overcome.
In Wha Two The tree reaches for the sky toward new heights.
Choong Jung One The tree is firmly rooted in the earth.
Choong Jung Two The sun is setting. The first phase of growth has been accomplished.
Choong Jung Two The dawn of a new day. The sun breaks through the darkness.
Shim Jun The tree has reached maturity and has overcome the darkness.

"Bah-Roh" — Return to Ready Stance
"Shee-Jahk" — Begin
"Poom- Sae" — Form

"Shee-Oh" — Rest (Bow after performance)
